Energy Northwest hosts ribbon-cutting for new EV charging station network in Southeast Washington

Burbank, Wash. – Energy Northwest held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Nov. 18 to celebrate a significant milestone in promoting sustainable transportation across Southeast Washington at its newly installed fast charging electric vehicle (EV) charging station at Friends Corner in Burbank. This event highlighted progress in the Southeast Washington EV Corridor project, a key initiative funded by the Washington State Department of Transportation’s Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Partnership Fund, which is focused on expanding EV infrastructure and supporting the region’s increasing number of electric vehicles. 

The Southeast Washington Corridor project features ultra-fast EV charging stations manufactured by FLO, located in Burbank, Clarkston, Pullman, Dayton, Connell and Washtucna to offer convenient charging options for EV drivers. Installed by Colvico Inc., the first FLO Ultra chargers are expected to be operational by the end of 2024, with full project completion projected for spring 2025 when the Connell and Dayton locations are finalized.

Integrated with the PlugShare and FLO mobile apps and websites, these new EV charging stations enable drivers to easily locate and access charging facilities throughout Southeast Washington.
