Working with local partners, FLO will supply many of the Level 2 EV chargers for the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center’s (MassCEC) On-Street Charging Solutions Program. This initiative will significantly expand access to curbside EV charging infrastructure across Massachusetts, with a special focus on disadvantaged and underserved communities.
The program will operate on a two-year time frame, kicking off in November 2024 and wrapping up in November 2026. Hundreds of EV ports will be installed throughout the duration of the program with the first EV charger being energized in January 2025.
The MassCEC program is designed to address critical challenges faced by residents who lack access to home-based charging options. By providing EV charging infrastructure, as well as no-cost planning and feasibility studies, the program is removing barriers to widespread EV adoption.
FLO and program partners Commonwealth Electrical Technologies and Leidos will support MassCEC in delivering reliable charging solutions, including the FLO SmartTWO EV chargers.
This initiative is a significant step forward in Massachusetts’ push toward a cleaner, more sustainable transportation future. By focusing on increasing public curbside charging infrastructure, the program ensures that EV adoption is accessible to all.
