FLO’s Louis Tremblay Receives Al Cormier Award for Championing Electrification

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia FLO’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Louis Tremblay, was honored with the Al Cormier award from Electric Mobility Canada (EMC), the first organization focused on advancing electric mobility. Al Cormier founded EMC in 2006 and remained active in the organization until he retired.

The Al Cormier Award recognizes an individual’s success rather than an organization’s success and must be beyond the person’s job description and display an exceptional contribution in one or more of the following criteria:

“FLO is one of the greatest Canadian success stories in electric mobility, and Louis has been steering the ship since the beginning,” said Neetika Sathe, EMC Board Chair.  “Under Louis’ exceptional leadership, FLO has experienced stellar growth over the years, always keeping reliability at the forefront and ensuring steady, sustainable progress.”

Tremblay was presented with the award at the EMC Annual conference held this week in Halifax.

“As an industry, we are stronger together, and Al helped us remember that regardless of who is in office, it’s the job of EMC to carry our best advice to governments at all levels, and to provide a forum to bring our industry together. That is as critical today, as it was when EMC started,” said Louis Tremblay, FLO President and CEO, in accepting the award. “I’m incredibly grateful and humbled to be recognized by EMC with this award.”
